Drug Cases Against Lickingville Man Waived for Court

FARMINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Numerous drug cases against a Lickingville man are headed to court.

In addition to the previous cases against 22-year-old Eric David Goodman, of Lickingville, the following new misdemeanor charges were filed against him on February 21:

– Intentional Possession of Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor (4 counts)

– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

According to a criminal complaint filed by Marienville-based State Police Trooper Freeman, on February 15, 2017, Goodman’s grandmother called PSP Marienville to report that “he was out of control on drugs at a residence in Farmington Township.”

The complaint states that Goodman was in his room when he was “confronted by his grandmother about where their Gator ATV was. Goodman had taken the Gator the day before and left it somewhere. When Goodman was confronted, he started yelling and became irate. He grabbed the TV controller and smashed it on the ground then ran down stairs.”

Once downstairs “he went to his grandfather’s gun safe and removed a rifle,” the complaint continues.

The complaint indicates that “Goodman’s grandfather saw what Goodman was doing and attempted to get the riffle from him. The struggle continued into the kitchen where another relative joined in the struggle. They were able to get the rifle from Goodman who then ran outside and entered a shed.”

When Trooper Freeman arrived, family members were all outside attempting to get Goodman out of the shed.

Trooper Freeman told Goodman to come out, which he did. He “appeared to be disoriented and under the influence of a drug,” according to the complaint.

While being interviewed at the scene, Goodman said, “You can search my room for a gun. I don’t have any,” the complaint states.

According to the complaint, several drug devices and drugs were in plain view in Goodman’s bedroom. Those items were taken and entered into PSP Marienville’s evidence room.

The evidence at the scene included a pill grinder and Brillow pads lying on the TV stand. There was also a plastic tube in plain view. Inside an open closet there was a plate with two spoons and white power on the plate. The white powder was tested and showed positive for oxycodone, according to the complaint.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Goodman had an active arrest warrant, and he was taken into custody.

Goodman was placed in the Clarion County Jail after failing to post $10,000.00 cash bail.

On February 28, Goodman waived his preliminary hearing for this case in addition to cases for offenses on October 21, 2015; December 21, 2015; February 19, 2016; and March 15, 2016.

All cases were transferred to the Clarion County Court of Common Pleas and are working their way through the court system.
