JENKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police responded to the following assaults at SCI Forest, in Jenks Township, Forest County:

Simple Assault at 9:20 a.m. on February 7

State Police are investigating an incident in which a known 22-year-old inmate assaulted a known, 29-year-old inmate.

The victim suffered minor injuries and does not want to cooperate with prosecution.

Aggravated Assault at 5:15 p.m. on February 27

An investigation is underway in reference to an incident in which a 28-year-old SCI Forest inmate assaulted an 29-year-old female correction officer.

No serious injury was suffered.

The investigation continues.
