Carolyn Heasley

Longtime Hinsdale resident and real estate managing broker Carolyn Heasley passed away peacefully on February 25, 2017.

She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on February 16, 1925.

She left PA to attend Northwestern University and married Charles H. Heasley on January 5, 1946.

They moved to Hinsdale in 1956.

Carolyn had a passion and talent for learning, music, the arts, science, architecture, and gardening, along with a refined and gentle nature that will always be remembered by her many longtime friends and loving family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Heasley; her parents, Glenn and Elmina Clinger; her sister Gene (Robert) Nelson; brothers Theodore (Mary Ann); Douglas (Jean); Glenn (Joan); Richard (Suzi); Robert; and her daughter Kathleen (Gunnar) Okmark.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters Marsha Heasley; Janice (Michael) Heinemann; Jean (William Kalafut) Heasley; and her son Charles (Arleen) Heasley; her grandchildren Arena (Walter Foddis) Mueller; Heath (Noah Sears) Mueller; Graham (Katrina Serrano) Mueller; Rachael (Richard) Rymel; Kajsa (Brendan) Keane; Lars (Ashley) Okmark; Michael and Rebecca Heinemann; Morgan Heasley; Carolyn, Cecille, and Joseph Kalafut; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to Rainbow Hospice & Palliative Care of Mount Prospect, IL.

A private memorial service will be held in Oil City, Pennsylvania.
