CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for Clarion County and surrounding areas.

…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 AM EDT WEDNESDAY…

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…8 to 12 inches over the non-ridge counties of Western Pennsylvania.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…12 to 18 inches over the higher elevations of Western Pennsylvania…West Virginia and Western Maryland.

* TIMING…Snow will begin tonight, with the heaviest snow falling after midnight through 7am. Snow showers will persist on the backside of the system through early Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…The heavy snow will make many roads impassable and may produce scattered power outages.

* WINDS…North 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
