“We wanted to show our support of the YMCA and their programs,” said Vince Ganoe, Knights of Columbus Council Member. “We wanted to support the YMCA Annual Campaign to help provide financial assistance to area families in need. We believe in the programs and values at the YMCA.”
Vince Ganoe and Matthew Hummel recently dropped off the first of two $5,000.00 checks to the YMCA on Friday. The Knights of Columbus Council 7549 have committed to giving $5,000.00 for two years, totaling $10,000.00 in support.
“We’re pleased to have the support of the Knights of Columbus Council 7549 in our Annual Campaign,” said Jesse Kelley. “Their pledge of $10,000.00 over two years shows their commitment to serving local children and families in need through the YMCA Scholarship Fund. Without this annual support each year, the Y would not be able to provide services to those who need us the most.”
The YMCA Annual Support Campaign raises money each year for local citizens in need. The Annual Campaign guarantees no one is turned away from Y programs due to financial reasons.
Scholarships are awarded based on financial need on a case-by-case basis.
The 2017 Annual Campaign goal is $60,000.00. If you’d like to help with a donation, please call the YMCA at 814-764-3400 or send your contribution to YMCA Annual Campaign, 15952 Route 322 Suite 1, Clarion, PA 16214.
