PSP Camp Cadet to be Held at Clarion University July 23-28

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, Camp Cadet will be held at Clarion University from July 23 to July 28.

The camp is for boys and girls, 12 to 14 years of age, from Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, and northern Indiana County.

Campers will stay at the university for the entire week.

The camp will consist of demonstrations and speakers including the FBI, Secret Service, Pa. Game Commission, Pa. Fish & Boat Commission, and several State Police-related programs like the PSP Helicopter and Special Emergency Response Team (SWAT), county coroner, and Pa. National Guard.

During the week, there will also be activities including swimming and a canoe day trip to Cook Forest.

Camp Cadet is for young people who want to learn about law enforcement and teamwork.

Campers are required to rise in the morning and be active in physical training.

Movement about the campus is done in military formation and campers are required to address people according to military standards.
