Edward J. “Eddie” Fiejdasz

Edward J. “Eddie” Fiejdasz, 65 of Marienville, PA, (formerly of Hanover Twp., Beaver Co.), passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at his home in Marienville, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on January 28, 1952, in Rochester, Beaver Co., PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Leila (Himes) Fiejdasz.

He was a 1969 graduate of Center High School in Monaca, PA. He attended Iron Workers Apprenticeship in Pittsburgh.

On November 10, 1972 he was married to Jenette Tate in Monaca, PA.

He was employed as an Iron Worker for 30 years, working out of Pittsburgh Local #3 until his retirement in 2007.

Eddie was of the Presbyterian Faith.

Eddie was a director of the Marienville Trail Rider’s Snowmobile Club, and Sportsmen’s Club of Forest County. He enjoyed riding his snowmobile and hunting.

Along with his wife, Eddie is survived by a son, Edward Fiejdasz Jr. and wife Linda of Greentree, PA; two daughters, Tara Lawrence and husband Bill of Meadville, PA, and Heidi Scholar and husband Mark of McDonald, PA. Also surviving is a brother, Ken Futato and wife Joanne of Aliquippa, PA; a brother-in-law, John E. Tate and wife Jeri of Bellbrook, Ohio; his mother-in-law, Elinor Tate; seven grandchildren, William and Allen Fiejdasz, Jackson and Luke Lawrence, Brandt, Wade, and Darien Scholar.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, William J. Tate.

As per Eddie’s wishes, he was cremated, however, family and friends will be received on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dan Richter officiating.
