Man Accused in Aggravated Assault of Psych Center Nurse

MONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An aggravated assault occurred early Sunday morning at the Clarion Psychiatric Center located on 2 Hospital Road, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

Clarion-based State Police investigated an incident where a patient at Clarion Psychiatric Center, 42-year-old Bernardo Wilson Loeb, III, of Birdsboro, Pa., became upset around 1:10 a.m. on April 2.

He allegedly struck a registered nurse at the Clarion Psychiatric Center in the head and broke her eye glasses, police say.

The victim is a known, 58-year-old female, of Stoneboro, Pa.

Loeb was arrested and arraigned in District Court 18-3-02 on the following offenses:

– Aggravated Assault
– Simple Assault
– Harassment
– Criminal Mischief

Unable to post $25,000.00 bail, Loeb was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.
