Monday’s HS Softball Roundup: McNany Leads A-C Valley Past Keystone

PARKER, Pa. (D9Sports) — Cami McNany was a single from the cycle while driving in five runs to lead A-C Valley to an 11-0, five-inning win over Keystone.

McNany went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and a solo home run. Her homer and her triple along with four RBIs came in a seven-run fifth inning that ended the game.

Emily Wetzel was also 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored for the Lady Falcons, while Kylie Eaton was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and Kelsie Terwilliger was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Syndie Schmidt got the win going five shutout innings allowing two hits and two walks while striking out four.

CLARION 19, CLARION-LIMESTONE 3, 5 INNINGS

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. — Cora Zerfoss, Sidney Kiser and Carly Best combined to drive in 10 runs, as visiting Clarion smoked rival Clarion-Limestone, 19-3, in five innings.

Zerfoss was 2-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored, Kiser was 1-for-4 with a walk, three RBIs and a run scored and Best was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Also for the Lady Cats, who put the game away with an 11-run fifth inning, Maya Thornton added two RBIs with Sadie Rudesyle and Kate Constantino each picking up two hits and Alexis Constantino scoring three runs.

Karleigh Aaron had a pair of RBIs for C-L while Abby Carl was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Kate Constantino was the winning pitcher allowing three runs, one earned, on four hits and four walks while striking out eight.

Aaron took the loss going two innings allowing seven runs, six earned, on four hits and five walks.

FOREST AREA 10, OIL CITY 4

TIONESTA, Pa. — Cassie Cochran and Allison Lencer each drove in a pair of runs to lead Forest Area to a 10-4 win over visiting Oil City.

Cochran was 2-for-2 with a double and the two RBIs, while Lencer was 1-for-3 with a double and the two runs drive in.

Jasmine Ginnery got the win going seven innings allowing four runs, one earned.

Emily Goughler had a big day for Oil City going 3-for-3 with two triples, a home run and an RBI.

REDBANK VALLEY 15, KARNS CITY 0, 4 INNINGS

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Pounding out 14 hits and getting a one-hitter from Alyssa Burkett, Redbank Valley needed four innings to slap a 15-Run Rule 15-0 decision on visiting Karns City.

Burkett struck out five and didn’t walk a batter, giving up a two-out single to Katie Neff in the second inning. At the plate, she hit one of two Lady Bulldogs home runs, a solo shot.

The other homer came from Lauren Rearick, who blasted a three-run shot in the Lady Bulldogs’ seven-run third inning. Lexi Holt, Kaia Rearick, Maycee Shumaker, Lauren Shaffer and Becca Kunselman each had two hits. Shaffer and Sami Leasure hit doubles.

Redbank Valley scored six runs with one out in the fourth to end the game.
