Thursday’s HS Baseball Roundup: Brannon Leads Cranberry Past A-C Valley

EMLENTON, Pa. (D9Sports) — Nolan Brannon drove in two runs, scored three times and allowed two hits in three innings of work, as visiting Cranberry rolled past A-C Valley, 17-0 in three innings.

Brannon, who was 1-for-1 with two walks, walked one while striking out seven in this three innings of work to get the win.

Andrew Gunn had a team-high four RBIs while going 1-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored. Jake Felmlee was 2-for-2 with a double, three RBIs and three runs scored and Thomas Flinspach went 1-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Sam Anderson and Jeff Ginn had A-C Valley’s hits.

MONITEAU 11, KEYSTONE 3

KNOX, Pa. — Nate Sosigian was 2-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored to lead visiting Moniteau to an 11-3 win at Keystone.

Jared Lominski added two hits, two runs scored and an RBI for the Warriors, while Jake Jewart was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Andrew Dulva 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.

Sawyer Reed and Austin Ion both had two hits for Keystone and each scored a run. Devin Dunkle added a double, a run scored and an RBI, Dawson Steele had an RBI and Tyler Johnson a double.

Lee DeMatteis got the win in relief. He pitched four innings allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five. Brice Williams pitched two scoreless to start the game allowing three walks but no hits while striking out four. Lake Pry walked three but struck out three to finish the game off.

Corey Rapp suffered the loss. In four innings he allowed 10 runs, seven earned, on 10 hits and three walks while striking out three. Steele pitched three innings giving up one run on two hits and two walks while striking out one.
