Fire Marshal Seeks Info on Blaze at Abandoned Building

MADISON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit is investigating a fire at an abandoned building in Madison Township, Clarion County.

According to Clarion County 911, firefighters responded to a fully-involved fire at 1011 Kissinger Mills Road Thursday around 7:45 p.m.

Volunteer firefighters from Rimersburg, Sligo, East Brady, and Callensburg fought the fire until the scene was cleared at 11:24 p.m.

Southern Clarion Ambulance was on standby.

No injuries were reported.

The home, which was vacant and being remodeled, was a total loss with damages estimated at $75,000. There was no insurance on the structure.

At this time the cause has not been determined.
