JENKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police say an 18-year-old Tionesta man was involved in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning in Jenks Township, Forest County.

Marienville-based State Police say Donald L. Haywood, 18, of Tionesta, lost control of his vehicle around Midnight while traveling east on Lamonaville Road near Federal Route 376.

Haywood’s 1997 Chevrolet Camaro traveled off the south side of the roadway and struck several trees in a wooded area resulting in disabling damage to the car.

Haywood fled the scene and failed to report the accident, according to State Police.

State Police say Haywood — who was not injured in the crash — was located the next morning in Tylersburg.

He was cited for Careless Driving.

Snyder’s Auto Body towed the vehicle from the scene.
