Klein Continues Strong Play for Mansfield Baseball

MANSFIELD, Pa. (EYT) — Mansfield senior Tanner Klein, a Clarion High School graduate, has continued his strong play for the Mounties baseball team.

Klein is second on the team in hitting with a .333 batting average while connecting on three home runs and eight doubles. His slash line (batting average/on-base percentage/slugging percentage) is .333/.422/.479, and he has driven in 22 runs while scoring 21.

Pitching in eight games, all starts, Klein is 3-3 with a 6.81 ERA. In 35 2/3 innings of work he has allowed 49 hits and 18 walks while striking out 23.

Mansfield is 16-20 overall and 5-11 in the PSAC East this season. The Mounties are back in action Friday at Kutztown.
