ambulance-blurry-6LIMESTONE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A traffic accident on Monday afternoon on Route 66 in Limestone Township left two people injured.

Police say 52-year-old Kay Dean, of Hawthorn, and 18-year-old Spencer Shirey, of Clarion, were involved in the collision.

According to police, around 2:55 p.m., a 1995 Ford F150 XLT driven by Dean was traveling south on Route 66. Shirey, traveling in a 2006 Chevy Malibu, was crossing Route 66 from East Reidsburg Road onto Spruce Road, and the Ford struck the Chevy.

Both drivers suffered injuries and were transported to Penn Highlands Brookville by Clarion EMS.

Seat belts were used by both individuals.

Dean was charged with a traffic violation.
