The Blue and Gold will return to action on April 27th when they head to Philadelphia, PA for the Penn Relays.

Courtney Young provided an early highlight, earning a PSAC qualification mark in the 100-meter dash with a final time of 12.79, helping her finish 14th overall. Jess Shomo and Amanda Batey led the Blue and Gold in front on Young, taking fourth and fifth overall with times of 12.36 and 12.45, respectively. Shomo’s mark was an improvement over her previous record of second all-time in program history, while Batey moved into the No. 3 spot right behind her after her 12.45.

Tatiana Cloud kept the record-breaking trend going shortly thereafter, taking sixth overall in the 200 meter with a final time of 25.99, improving her existing mark in the Clarion record books like Shomo. Batey also enjoyed a nice showing in the 200, crossing in 26.64 to finish 14th overall.

Courtney Corban snagged a first-place finish in the 400, crossing with a final time of 58.62, while McKayla Hoover was right behind her in tenth at 1:02.64. The Golden Eagles earned another first-place finish in the very next event, as Letizia Collini and Danni Tarr teamed up to take the 1-2 spots overall in the 800 meter, finishing in 2:21.95 and 2:22.07, respectively. Breanna Leidy also earned a top-ten finish, taking ninth.

Taylor Donia took third overall in the 1500 meter, finishing with a final time of 5:11.13, while Danielle Stoner took 12th. Danielle Vensel took third overall in the 5000 meter with a time of 19:46.36.

Another Golden Eagle entered the all-time record books in the 400 hurdles when Nicole Young moved into fourth all-time in program history with a time of 1:05.06, a mark that earned her first-place honors. Likewise, Kelsey Murray earned the first-overall mark in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Finally, both the 4×100 and 4×400 meter relay teams etched their way into the number two all-time spots with a time of 48.78 and 3:58.09, the latter of which was good for a first-place mark.

The field portion of the afternoon also featured some qualifying marks, as Kari Steuer secured the qualification in the shot put by tossing a final 35.01 meters to earn eighth. Katie Brest improved to second-best all-time in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.95 and also took 10th in the shot. Abby Gluvna took home the top spot in the javelin, tossing a distance of 39.43 meters.

Lauryn Greggs earned the fifth overall spot in the high jump with a final height of 1.43 meters.
