State Police Issue Sexual Offender Notice in Shippenville

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Pennsylvania State Police have released a Megan’s Law Alert notifying residents that a Tier 2 sex offender has reported a residence in Shippenville Borough.

According to the PA State Megan’s Law website, 65-year-old John Avery Coy has reported a residence at 108 North First Street, Shippenville, Pa.

Coy’s employment address is also listed as 108 North First Street, Shippenville, Pa.

Coy is 6’3″, 220 pounds, with blue eyes and gray/partially gray hair.

According to the PA State Police Megan’s Law Public Record, Coy was convicted on April 24, 2007, of sexual abuse of children.

The sexual offenses are listed as follows:

– Photographing, Videotaping, Depicting on Computer, or Filming Sexual Acts Involving A Child Under 18

– Unlawful Contact With Minor

According to police, Coy has the following aliases:

– John Coy
– John A. Coy
– Patrick Diloreto
– Patrick R. Diloreto

His Megan’s Law registration began on April 12, 2017.

It was last updated on April 12, 2017.

Coy is NOT wanted by the police.

He is listed as a Tier 2 sexual predator.

Tier 2 predators must register for 25 years.
