Two Women Injured in Tionesta Assault

TIONESTA, Pa. (EYT) — According to Marienville-based State Police, an assault occurred early Saturday morning on Elm Street, in Tionesta Borough, Forest County.

State police responded to Elm Street in Tionesta around 12:59 a.m. on April 22 for the report of individuals yelling in the front yard.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that after an altercation, the suspect — a known, 26-year-old Tionesta man — attempted to leave in his vehicle. As he was leaving, two females were injured, according to police.

No other information was provided.

The name of the suspect was not released.
