Duncan Seeks Republican Nomination for Clarion Tax Collector

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Vickie Heck Duncan is seeking the Republican nomination for Clarion Borough tax collector in the upcoming May 16 primary.

In a phone interview on Monday, Duncan told exploreClarion.com, “I was raised in Clarion, moved to New Castle for a short time where I worked at Dollar Savings and Loan and served as my church treasurer. I returned to Clarion in 1989 and have lived and worked in Clarion Borough ever since.”

Duncan has worked in banking for two decades, including 16 years at New Bethlehem Bank/S&T Bank. She has been self-employed for many years, doing bookkeeping and payroll for various area businesses. She has also worked as a secretary for Walter Horton and Associates during the last two tax preparation seasons.

“I graduated from Clarion State College with a degree in Business Administration Finance and have been handling other people’s money ever since I started working as a cashier at G.C. Murphy Company while attending college,” added Duncan.

Duncan, the daughter of Dean and Dorismae Snyder, has two children, Erin and Zack Heck, and is married to Chris Duncan who is employed by the Clarion Federal Credit Union.
