Several Trees, Lines Down After Storm; Route 322 Shut Down

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Multiple trees and utility lines are down throughout Clarion County following a severe thunderstorm Monday afternoon.

The storm hit Clarion County shortly after 3:00 p.m., producing strong winds and heavy downpour.

Shortly after the storm, a structure fire was reported at the Corner Water Supply building at 113 Oakwood Lane in Paint Township. It’s unclear if the fire was storm-related.

As of 3:55 p.m., a tree down on U.S. Route 322 was blocking the roadway. The roadway has since re-opened.

Around 4:00 p.m., Clarion County 911 received a report of a tree down on a trailer at Pine Terrace Road in Paint Township.

Additional reports of downed trees, utility poles, and utility lines have been reported throughout the area, including Clarion, Fryburg, Knox, Leeper, Lucinda and Marienville.

The National Weather Service issued multiple weather alerts throughout the day, including a Tornado Watch and a Tornado Warning. The alerts have since expired.
