Local Fire Departments Respond to Structure Fire in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Firefighters were dispatched early Sunday morning to a structure fire at a camp on Sigel Road in Washington Township.

According to information obtained from the Clarion County Fire and EMS scanner, crews from at least four fire departments were dispatched around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning to a camp in the location of 284 Sigel Road Washington Township, Clarion County, located between Route 208 and Route 66 east of Fryburg and Marble and west/northwest of Snydersburg near where Sigel Road, also known as Township Road 596, intersects with Licking Drive.

Clarion County OES reported to the responding fire departments that a caller said the structure was “fully engulfed” and there was a propane tank near the camp.

Washington Township arrived on scene first at 3:41 a.m. and by 4:15 a.m. Washington Township’s chief was reporting to Clarion OES that the situation was “under control”.

In addition to Washington Township, responding companies included at least Farmington Township and Shippenville/Elk Township from Clarion County and Pinegrove Township from Venango County.
