Forest County Election Results: Sheriff Wolfgang Gets Most Votes

FOREST CO., Pa. (EYT) — Despite a lack of contested races, more than 700 Forest County residents headed to the voting booths in Tuesday’s primary elections.

On the Democratic ticket, sheriff Robert Wolfgang received 252 votes.

In Barnett Township, Robert Messer received 21 votes for a supervisor’s position.

In Green Township, Joshua Mellon received 20 votes for the tax collector job.

In Harmony Township, Yvonne Watters got the nod for tax collector with 25 votes.

In Jenks Township, Laura Snyder got 62 votes for tax collector and for supervisor, Catherine Cochran won with 74 votes.

In Tionesta Borough, Rita Schaffer’s 38 votes made her the tax collector.

For Mayor, Marianne Rowan Rose received 17 votes while write-in candidates had 21.

For Borough Council, Dennis O’Toole had 37 votes.

For School Director, Region A, Scott Jackovitz got 41 votes and in Region B, Jane Parrett got 106 votes.

On the Republican ballot, Catherine McChesney got 38 votes for tax collector in Barnett Township and in Hickory Township, Cynthia Crytzer received 29 votes.

In Howe Township, Jill Huddleson got 19 votes for tax collector, Robert Shaffer got 19 votes for a six-year term as supervisor and Steven Tachoir got 18 votes for a four-year term as supervisor.

In Jenks Township, Debra Carter got 73 votes for tax collector and for supervisor, Greg Geyer received 105 votes.

In Kingsley Township, Renee Conti got 12 votes for the tax collector position and Brian Daquilante got 14 votes for supervisor.

In Tionesta Borough, Judith McDaid got 41 votes for mayor, Thomas Mohney got 47 votes for council and Betty Allio got 39 votes for tax collector.

For school director, Region A, Timothy Korchak got 81 votes and Jackovitz had 67.

In Region B, Parrett received 150 votes.
