Emlenton Man Accused of Defiant Trespass, Resisting Arrest
According to Franklin-based State Police, around 5:31 p.m. on May 18, 25-year-old David Edward Bartley, of Emlenton, entered the victims’ property and would not leave when told to do so by the victims. He became “agitated and started to throw rocks at the victims’ house. Bartley then went to the door and kicked it. He eventually left the victims’ property.”
Police say he was located at the Emlenton Bike Trail parking area.
When troopers attempted to take him into custody, he fled on foot and resisted arrest.
No other information was provided.
Bartley was arraigned at 1:50 p.m. on May 18 in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish on the following charges:
- Resisting Arrest/Other Law Enforcement, Misdemeanor 2
- Defiant Trespass Actual Communication To, Misdemeanor 2
- Disorderly Conduct Hazardous/Physical Offense, Misdemeanor 3
Unable to post $100,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on May 24 with Judge Fish presiding.
The victims are a 76-year-old woman and a 93-year-old man.
