Police Respond to Two-Vehicle Crash in Paint Township

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A two-vehicle crash occurred on Saturday morning on 28th Division Highway (State Route 322), east of Humane Way, in Paint Township, Clarion County.

According to Clarion-based State Police, 31-year-old Janelle P. Chambers and 26-year-old Kelsey L. Swartz, both of Clarion, were involved in the collision.

Police say around 10:32 a.m. on May 20, Swartz was traveling west on Route 322 in a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. The vehicle in front of the Chrysler was turning left into Tri-County Animal Rescue, so Swartz began slowing down. Chambers was approaching the Chrysler in a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt and failed to notice the car slowing down. The Cobalt struck the rear of the Chrysler.

Both vehicles came to a rest on the left side of the roadway.

Both Chambers and Swartz were using seat belts and escaped injuries.

Chambers was charged with a traffic violation.
