Brookville Police Accuse Man of Huffing Prior to Traffic Crash
BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Brookville Police arrested a West Virginia man Tuesday evening on DUI-related charges after he ran over a number road signs near the intersection of West Main Street and Route 36.
According to the report, the 32-year-old man from Fairmount, West Virginia, was driving west on West Main Street when he apparently passed out and crashed into the road signs.
When police officers arrived, they determined he had allegedly been huffing spray duster which caused him to be impaired and then passed out. The man was also examined by a drug recognition expert with Punxsutawney-based State Police.
The white male, whose name was not released, was arrested for DUI involving propelled solvents and placed in the Jefferson County Jail, awaiting arraignment on charges of DUI, illegal use of solvents, possession of solvents for illegal use, careless driving and reckless driving.
