CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Dancer’s Studio is holding their annual acrobatics camp from July 10 to July 13.

This year the studio will be implementing a new syllabus. The instructor for this camp, Shannon Peterson, is currently certified to teach tumbling/acro through Dance Educators of America. She will be training next week to receive her Acrobatic Arts Module 1 Certification and attend the aerial and back handspring training.

A-Jo Gallagher, owner of Dancer’s Studio, is also attending the training to be certified through Acrobatic Arts; she will be the only dance studio owner in the area who is certified in Acrobatics Arts. Although A-Jo does not currently teach acro, she feels an owner and educator should be familiar with all aspects of training in her facility.

A-Jo is also taking two advanced students to train with them — Gracie Dunkle and Kylie Mumford. They will be assisting Miss Shannon during the camp.

The acro camp is open to anyone age two and one-half to 18.

Those who have prior experience and would like to attend, email the studio at info@dancers-studio-stars.com for proper placement.

Those who are between age two and one-half and five with no experience, please attend the Level 1, 1-2.

Children who are between age six and 18 and have never had any acro training but would like to start, please email the studio at info@dancers-studio-stars.com to be placed in the appropriate level.

The mission of Dancer’s Studio is to develop happy, healthy, and confident dancers through the love of the arts.

The studio strives to motivate each individual with energetic and positive coaching to become his/her personal best.

This camp will have the students set personal goals to work on throughout the week.
