Two Vehicle Crash on Route 62 Sends One to Hospital

HICKORY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A two-vehicle crash on State Route 62 on Thursday afternoon sent one person to the hospital.

According to Marienville-based State Police, around 2:32 p.m. on June 22, 19-year-old Darrell Gesin, of Tidioute, was at a stop sign at the Route 666 intersection with Route 62. He entered the roadway in his 2001 Ford Ranger in front of 43-year-old Bradyn R. Louise, of Parker, who was driving a 2011 Chevy Avalanche on Route 62.

Louise attempted to avoid the collision, but his Chevy and hit the Ford broadside, leaving both vehicles disabled.

A passenger in Gesin’s vehicle — 35-year-old Kevin McEwen, of Tidioute — suffered suspected minor injuries. Tionesta EMS transported him to Titusville Hospital for treatment.

Another passenger in Gesin’s vehicle — 51-year-old Mark Dashner, of Tidioute — was not injured.

None of the occupants in the Ford Ranger were using seat belts.

Two passengers in Louise’s Chevy Avalance — 37-year-old Jayme Louise, of Parker, and a 7-year-old child — were not injured.

All occupants of the Chevy were using seat belts.

Gesin was charged with a traffic violation.

Tionesta EMS, Frank’s Auto, and Hovis Towing assisted at the scene.
