Oil City Police Searching for Ring Leader of Drug Operation

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Authorities in Venango County are searching for a Detroit man wanted on charges related to the sale of large amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin in Oil City.

Oil City Police filed the following charges today against Jeremy Cardell Ludy, 20, of Detroit, Michigan:

  • Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony

According to Oil City Patrolman Ruditis, the charges were filed in connection with an ongoing investigation into the delivery of controlled substances in and around the Oil City Area.

The investigation was initiated following the February 2017 overdose death of Derek Black, Jr. in Oil City.

Oil City Police found that multiple persons conspired with an “element” from the Detroit area to sell and deliver large amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin in the Venango County Area. Ludy was found to be the coordinator of the “element.”

A warrant was issued for Ludy’s arrest on Tuesday.

Ludy is believed to be in the Detroit area but is known to frequent multiple residences in Venango County.
