State Police Calls: Deer vs Car Crash, Pole Damaged in Hit-and-Run

CLARION CO. Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Deer vs. car collision on Route 68

According to police, a one-vehicle crash occurred at 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, in Madison Township.

Carly Simpson, 22, of Butler, was driving a 2012 Chevy Equinox south on Route 68 when she collided with a white-tailed deer that ran in front of her vehicle.

Simpson was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

The car was disabled.

Driver leaves scene after hitting pole

A hit and run accident occurred around 5:42 a.. on Tuesday, June 27 in the Borough of Hawthorn.

Police say an unidentified vehicle was making a right turn from Main Street to First East Street and its trailer hit a utility pole, causing it to break.

The driver left the scene.

No other information is available.
