All three athletes expect to contribute quickly in the field, while Henry is also an accomplished sprinter.

“I fully believe that Bryanna, Style, and Ashley will provide us a boost immediately,” head coach Ben Bevevino said. “All three come from successful high school programs that have histories of producing college athletes. We are very excited to welcome them to Clarion as part of our program.”

Here is a breakdown of the newest members of the Golden Eagles:

Bryanna Fedorchak
Throws
New Wilmington, Pa. / Mercer Area

High School: Three-sport athlete that earned three letters in volleyball, three letters in basketball and two letters in track & field… two-time all-region selection in track & field, including a first-team selection as a junior and a second-team selection as a senior… three-time all-region selection in volleyball.

Personal: Full name is Bryanna Marie Fedorchak… intends to major in Nursing… has two siblings, a sister Elizabeth Fedorchak and a brother Darren Glaister… daughter of Matthew and Marie Fedorchak.

Coach Bevevino’s Take: “Bryanna is athletic enough to be a potential pentathlete or heptathlete, but her primary concentration will be the javelin. She is talented but somewhat raw. She will actually be the fifth Mercer athlete to compete at Clarion in recent years, and I hope this leads to us continuing our good relationship as they produce talented, hard-working athletes.”

Style Henry
Sprints/Jumps
Erie, Pa. / Villa Maria Academy

High School: Earned four letters in track & field at Villa Maria… set school long jump record with a jump of 18-5.00… anchored the 4x100m Relay team to a 2016 state championship… that relay team set both the District 10 championship meet and school record… received multiple recognitions for academics in English, Trigonometry and other academic honors.

Personal: Full name is Style Felice Henry… intends to major in Nursing… has two brothers, Mario and Michael Henry… daughter of Mario Henry.

Coach Bevevino’s Take: “Style is a very talented sprinter and jumper, so much so that her high school performances are comparable to some of our school records. She has the potential to make an immediate impact at conference championship events.”

Ashley McCluskey
Throws
DuBois, Pa. / DuBois

High School: Two-sport athlete that earned four letters in volleyball and two in track & field… helped DuBois to a district championship… two-time district champion and state qualifier in the javelin… voted Field MVP by her teammates… two-time all-district selection in volleyball as a setter…set school’s volleyball assist record.

Personal: Intends to major in Education… has a brother, Dylan… daughter of Dan and Tracy McCluskey.

Coach Bevevino’s Take: “Ashley is another athlete that should make a quick adjustment to college. Her best high school javelin throw would have provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Championships. She’s also another strong athlete to come from Dubois, who gave us our best-ever javelin thrower Kim Hanslovan and one of our best sprinters in Anna Pfingstler.”
