Emlenton Man Accused of DUI-Meth to Appear in Clarion County Plea Court

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – An Emlenton man accused of driving under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana is scheduled to appear in plea court on Wednesday, July 5.

According to court documents, 21-year-old Levi William Zacherl , of Emlenton, is scheduled to appear in front of President Judge James Arner in the Clarion County Court of Common Pleas at 9:00 a.m. on July 5.

He faces the following charges:

- Intentional Possession Controlled Substances By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
- Marijuana-Small Amount Personal Use, Misdemeanor
- Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
- DUI: Controlled Substance – Schedule 1 – 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
- DUI: Controlled Substance – Impaired Ability – 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
- Duties At Stop Sign, Summary
- Careless Driving, Summary

He is free on $1,000.00 on unsecured bail.

According to police, Zacherl was taken into custody on June 27, 2016, after a traffic stop on Petrolia Street in Knox.

He was arrested on the suspicion of driving under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Zacherl was also reportedly in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.

OTHER CHARGES:

Zacherl also faces charges from a May 5, 2017 arrest for DUI of a controlled substance.

Clarion-based State Police say the arrest occurred around 10:24 a.m. on May 5 on Whitmer Road, in Licking Township.

A traffic stop was initiated, and 21-year-old Levi William Zacherl, of Emlenton, “was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He was also in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia,” according to police.

According to court documents, he faces the following charges:

- Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
- Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
- DUI: Controlled Substance – Impaired Ability – 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
- Driving While Operator’s Privilege Suspended Or Revoked, Summary
- Careless Driving, Summary

The case is working its way through the court system.
