SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Charges against a Clarion woman stemming from a mobile meth lab bust in Monroe Township have been held for court.

According to court documents, charges against 25-year-old Nichole Lynn Baker, of Clarion, have been transferred to the Clarion County Court of Common Pleas.

She faces the following charges:

– Knowingly Possessing Ephedrine, Misdemeanor (11 counts)

Baker was released on her own recognizance.

A formal arraignment is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on August 23 in front of President Judge James G. Arner.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint filed at District Judge Timothy P. Schill’s office, Troopers Huffman and Graf responded to a retail theft call at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, at Clarion Walmart. When they arrived, store employees stated that the individuals involved in the theft had fled in a silver Pontiac Vibe.

After a search of the area, the Vibe was located in the parking lot of the Clarion Mall.

The driver of the car was identified as 22-year-old Ashley Elizabeth Slocum of Marble. Baker was in the passenger seat, the complaint states.

The complaint indicates that Trooper Graf received permission to search the vehicle after Slocum said she and her associate – 32-year-old Keith Allan McNaughton, of Parker – were at Walmart when he ran from the scene, the complaint continues.

During the search, police located numerous drug paraphernalia including needles, spoons, drug residue, and a mobile methamphetamine lab, according to the complaint.

The criminal complaint states that Baker told Trooper Huffman that she went into Walmart with McNaughton and purchased cold medicine while McNaughton allegedly stole a flashlight with lithium batteries.

A check of the National Precursor Log Exchange (NPLEX) confirmed that Baker purchased pseudoephedrine on April 7, the complaint states.

It was the 11th time in six months that Baker had purchased pseudoephedrine, according to NPLEX.
