NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (EYT) – Organizers are busy working to add the finishing touches to the Clarion County Fair.
Started in 1938, the week-long extravaganza begins on Sunday, July 23, and continues through Saturday, July 29, at the Redbank Valley Municipal Park near New Bethlehem.
“We’re just about ready to go, and we’re pretty excited with what we have going on this year,” Clarion County Fair Board secretary/treasurer Julie Evans said. “We have a large and great group of volunteers.”
“We’re a non-profit, and we work with the others to get things done. We are really looking forward to the fair beginning, and we believe there are so many great things for everyone to see and do.”
Daily admission is $8.00 per person. Children under two are admitted free unless riding. Advance sale tickets are $6.00 per person, on sale through Saturday, July 22, at various merchants throughout the county.
Admission to Sunday’s events is a donation to Relay for Life. There will be no rides that day.
Food concessions will be open every day.
Also, there are special admission days. Monday is Military Appreciation Day, free admission for all attendees with a military card; Thursday is Special Needs Day with free admission from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and Friday is free admission for senior citizens until 3:00 p.m.
Tickets can be bought online and save $1.50 per ticket compared to gate admission on an Advanced Sale Ticket. All major credit cards are accepted. To purchase tickets online, please visit: ClarionCountyFair.com/online-tickets.
