Jefferson County Man Accused of Aggravated Assault After Ramming Car

BELL TWP., Jefferson Co., Pa. (EYT) — A Punxsutawney man is accused of intentionally rear-ending another vehicle during a violent altercation in Bell Township Thursday evening.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, Joseph Allen Edwards, 41, struck a car with his vehicle on Route 36 near Pine Tree Road at 6:20 p.m. Thursday.

The victims were identified as a known 27-year-old Indiana man, a known 22-year-old Vandergrift woman, and a known 2-year-old girl, also of Vandergrift.

After Edwards allegedly struck the vehicle, two other Punxsutawney residents, Justin Wendale Mock, 25, and Amanda Edwards, 27, arrived at the scene and allegedly subjected the victim to unwanted physical contact.
