Charges Continue to Rack Up Against Clarion Man Accused of Selling Cocaine to Undercover Officer

CLARION BOROUGH, Pa. — Charges continue to pile up for a 20-year-old Clarion man accused of selling cocaine to an undercover state trooper.

According to online court documents, Punxsutawney-based State Police filed the following charges against Devin Atma Soberdhan:

  • Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Int. Possession of Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
  • Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

A criminal complaint filed on July 18 indicates the charges stem from a controlled drug buy on March 1, 2017.

Around 5:47 p.m., Soberdhan and an undercover officer exchanged text messages in which Soberdhan allegedly agreed to sell approximately 3 grams of cocaine to the undercover officer in exchange for $300.00.

At approximately 6:35 p.m., the undercover officer arrived at Soberdhan’s residence where four other individuals were present.

“I made small talk with others in the house while (Soberdhan) went into a bedroom area located just off the living room first on the left from the front door,” said the undercover officer in the criminal complaint.

“(Soberdhan) came back into the living room and he handed me a plastic baggie with what appeared to be approximately 3 grams of cocaine.”

The undercover officer then gave Soberdhan $300.00 in exchange for the suspected cocaine.

“(Soberdhan) told me if I needed any more to get ahold of him.”

The substance tested positive for cocaine and was logged into evidence at the Punxsutawney State Police barracks.
