State Police Calls: Animal Cruelty, DUI, Teen Struck with Shovel

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Animal Cruelty in Clarion

On Saturday, July 22, around 9:51 a.m., police responded to an incident in which 34-year-old Barbara Ann Nance, of Duncannon, Pa., allegedly abandoned her cat at 415 Pine Street in Clarion without any food or water.

No other information was released.

DUI in Madison Township

Around 11:43 p.m. on July 21, a known, 50-year-old Sligo woman was stopped for a summary traffic violation.

After speaking with the woman, it was discovered that she was under the influence of alcohol.

DUI charges are pending blood results.

Harassment in Knox

Around 3:43 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, a 19-year-old Knox male was hit in the head with a shovel while he was visiting his mother and stepfather on Beaver Furnace Road, in Knox.

The accused — 36-year-old James Roy Fair, of Knox — was cited for harassment.

According to police, this investigation will remain open pending court proceedings.

The condition of the victim is unknown.

No other information was released.
