CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Clarion County and surrounding areas.

The following weather message was issued by the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh on July 27 at 2:13 p.m.

FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT…

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for western Pennsylvania, western Maryland and West Virginia, including Garrett County in Maryland, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Fayette, Fayette Ridges, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties in Pennsylvania, and Brooke, Eastern Preston, Eastern Tucker, Hancock, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Preston, Ridges of Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern Preston, Western Tucker, and Wetzel Counties in West Virginia.

* From Friday morning through late Friday night

* Showers and storms capable of excessive heavy rain are expected Friday morning through Friday evening.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
