CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion Borough has announced a paving project for Friday and Saturday that will temporarily close some of the borough’s streets.

Roads to be closed because of the paving are Merle Road from Fifth Street to Seventh Street, Fourth Avenue from Wood Street to South Street, South Street from Jefferson to Fifth Avenue and University Manor from Gemmell to Bond.

The streets will be closed at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, and will remain closed until the paving is completed weather permitting.

The borough is asking that residents remove vehicles from the roads to assist during the project, and no one will be permitted to drive on the roadways until barricades have been removed.

According to Borough Secretary Linda LaVan, residents and businesses in the affected areas were notified earlier this week.
