Man Flown From the Scene of Route 62 Motorcycle Crash

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Authorities say an Oil City man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash Tuesday evening on U.S Route 62 in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police say Gordon N. Scouten, 69, of Oil City, was traveling north on U.S. Route 62 around 5:35 p.m. when he lost control of his 2016 Yamaha FZ-09.

Scouten’s bike exited the right side of the roadway and collided with a guide rail before coming to a final rest.

Police say Scouten suffered serious injuries to his right arm and left leg.

STAT MedEvac transported Scouten from the scene to UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department, Community Ambulance, and Minich’s Towing were also dispatched.
