State Police Calls: DUI’s, Drug Arrest, Criminal Trespass

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI/Act 64 in Limestone Township

Around 1:36 a.m. on July 23, a traffic stop was conducted for an observed equipment violation on State Route 66, in Limestone Township. It was discovered that the driver — a known, 28-year-old Fairmount City man — was under the influence of a narcotic. Subsequent investigation revealed the driver was also in possession of narcotics in the vehicle.

Charges were filed through 18-3-04.

DUI in Clarion Township

Police say a known, 47-year-old Clarion man was observed committing several traffic violations. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI.

Charges are pending BAC results.

Criminal Trespass/Theft in Paint Township

According to police, this incident occurred as 26-year-old Jacob Vasbinder, of Rimersburg, was arrested while allegedly stealing copper wire from a dumpster within the premises of Colony Homes located on Paint Blvd., Paint Township.

Police say further investigation allegedly pointed to 56-year-old Barry Steele, Sr., of Chicora, as an accomplice.

Steele was located and arrested at the Country Fair gas station.

The incident occurred at 3:15 a.m. on August 12.
