Clarion County Community Bank Foodstock Collection Seeking to RAM Up

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — It is going to be easier this year to find a collection location for the annual Foodstock sponsored by the Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry and Clarion Community Bank, with many businesses offering to accept contributions of food.

The Clarion County Community Bank Foodstock is a countywide food drive that collects non-perishable, non-expired food items, benefiting local food banks.

Collection containers will also be available at the following businesses throughout the month of September:

– Clarion Area Chamber on Main Street
– Clarion County Community Bank (at all branch locations)
– Clarion County YMCA
– Clarion Forest VNA
– Clarion Mall
– Clarion Free Library
– Comet Food Warehouse
– Dancer’s Studio
– Allegheny Grille,
– Farmers National Bank in Clarion
– Foxburg Free Library
– Foxburg Pizza and Country Store
– Kate’s Hair Studio
– Palmer’s Country Store
– Strattanville Borough Office
– Wolf’s Camping Resort

In addition, Tom’s Riverside locations will be holding a special food collection drive through September to benefit Foodstock.

The 64th Annual Autumn Leaf Festival, sponsored by the U.S. Army, will be held from September 30 to October 6.  The 2017 theme is “Leaves of Blue and Gold: Celebrating Clarion University’s 150th Anniversary.”

The official Foodstock Kickoff is Tuesday, October 3 from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Clarion Mall. C-93 Radio will broadcast the event. Anyone bringing a non-perishable, non-expired food item can receive a free chair massage, courtesy of Sapphire Moon Healing Arts Center. The collection drive will be held at the mall throughout the 64th Annual Autumn Leaf Festival Food donations can be dropped off between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day of the festival.

Another option for contributing is provided by Clarion Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-RAM “RAM Up For Foodstocks” during the Annual Autumn Leaf Festival. Bring non-perishable, non-expired food donations to your favorite ALF events and help fill up the bed of a RAM pickup truck. Food donations can also be dropped off at the RAM truck inside the Clarion Mall from October 2 through October 6 between noon and 5:00 p.m.
