SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police say an Emlenton man is facing forgery charges involving a truck service company located on Emlenton Clintonville Road, in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on August 15, 44-year-old Brian James Miller, of Emlenton, allegedly endorsed a check made out to the victim — an Emlenton truck service company.

During the course of the investigation, it was found that Miller had allegedly charged various amounts of gasoline to the victim’s account for his personal vehicle, police say.

Miller was arraigned at 10:02 a.m. on August 17 before District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey on the following charges:

– Forgery — Unauthorized Act In Writing, Felony 2
– Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Misdemeanor 2 (three counts)

He is free on $5,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on August 23 with Judge Lowrey presiding.
