IMG_6123CLARION, Pa.(EYT) – The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal is still investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a strip club in Clarion Township on June 29.

Tpr. Matt Powell says he is still investigating the fire and plans to conduct additional interviews in the coming days.

“I still have some people that I need to talk to,” said Powell in a brief phone interview with on Monday.

He would not elaborate further on the nature of the upcoming interviews or any interviews that had already been conducted.

Powell investigated the scene at the Sugar Shack, located along Route 66 just south of Interstate 80, and determined that the fire started in the ceiling or attic.

A cause could not be determined, according to Powell.

Damages are estimated at $300,000.

The building was insured.
