Two Sent to Clarion Hospital ER Following Route 66 Collision

LIMESTONE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Two people were sent to the Clarion Hospital ER following a collision Saturday on Route 66 in Limestone Township, Clarion County.

Clarion-based State Police say the accident happened around 4:04 p.m. on Route 66 near its intersection with Spruce Road.

According to Tpr. Rowe, 18-year-old Jasmine Wiser, of Sligo, was attempting to enter East Reidsburg Road from Spruce Road when the collision occurred.

When Wiser crossed Route 66, she failed to yield to an oncoming vehicle operated by 66-year-old Georgianna Carlson of New Bethlehem.

The front of Wiser’s 2013 Ford Focus struck the passenger side front quarter panel of Carlson’s 2014 Chevrolet Silverado.

Both drivers were taken to the emergency room by Clarion Hospital EMS for further evaluation; however, initial reports indicate no one was injured.

Limestone Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted on scene and provided traffic control.

Mark’s Towing of Clarion also responded.
