Drug Deal Gone Wrong: Clarion Resident Arrested After Texting Wrong Person

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a drug arrest was made at a local food warehouse parking lot in Clarion Township.

It is alleged that 62-year-old Kim Matthews Hartzell, of Clarion, accidentally texted the wrong person asking if they wanted to buy pills, according to police.

Through an investigation, PSP began texting Hartzell from the cell phone and setup a meeting time and place for the drug buy.

Around 6:00 p.m. on August 9, Hartzell allegedly sold morphine pills to an undercover PSP member in the parking lot of a Clarion Township food warehouse.

Charges were filed through District Court 18-3-01.

The above report was released to exploreClarion.com on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
