Woman Killed, Man Injured in Forest County Crash

MARIENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A Forest County woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on Guitonville Road in the Marienville area.

Forest County Coroner Norman J. Wimer was called to the scene of the fatal accident at 3:56 a.m.

Upon arrival, the crashed vehicle was found in the yard of a camp located at 4806 Guitonville Road.

A passenger in the vehicle — 20-year-old Taylor Ann Barnett of Marienville — was pronounced dead by Wimer.

The driver of the vehicle, Brandon Walters, age and address unknown, was airlifted to an unknown hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The exact time of the crash and details surrounding it are unknown at this time.

“A nearby camp occupant apparently heard something at approximately 1:30 a.m., later to find out it was the accident,” said Wimer in the release.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed Friday morning on Barnett, according to Wimer.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Marienville Volunteer Fire Department and Marienville-based State Police were also dispatched.
