CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — There are still openings available for the 2017 Miss Junior Teen and Miss Teen ALF Scholarship Program, sponsored by UPMC Northwest. Teenage girls in grades 7 through 12 can compete to earn scholarship money for college.

The phases of competition include an interview, an essay, formal wear, Friday night fun wear, on-stage questions, and talent. A talent award scholarship will be presented, along with the other awards. The deadline to register is Wednesday, September 6, 2017, by 5:00 p.m.
This year’s program will be held on Monday, October 2, at the Clarion Area High School Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. Orientation for this year’s program is on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. and is mandatory.
Reserved seats for the program are on sale now and can be purchased in advance at the Clarion Area Chamber of Business & Industry at 650 Main Street or at the door for $12.00 each.
The chamber asks that you bring a non-perishable item to benefit the Clarion County Community Bank “Foodstock.”
