First Clarview and Country Springs Family Fun Day a Huge Success

SLIGO, Pa. — On Saturday, August 26, 2017, the First Clarview and Country Springs Family Fun Day was held on their beautiful campus in Sligo.

The carnival-themed event was held for the residents, employees, and their families.

The fun day events included carnival style games, food, and entertainment provided by the Starz Drill team and a performance by the Clarview Residents and Friends band. There was even an appearance from Fleebus the clown and his dog, Killer.

In 1975, Clarview Rest Home, Inc., a private not-for-profit corporation was established to provide improved medical services to the citizens of Clarion County. Through their efforts, a plan for a new facility was created. Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center opened its doors the week prior to Thanksgiving in 1979. In 1996, Clarview Rest Home Inc. began the expansion of the original dietary department, the addition of a 2400 square foot rehabilitation gym, and the creation of a new 24-room Personal Care facility, Country Springs. More recently Clarview has opened the doors to their Short-Term Rehab Unit-Clarview Country Rehab Suite.

From day one their mission statement (below) has been upheld.

Clarview’s mission is to provide the citizens of Clarion County and the surrounding area with services of excellence in specialized nursing, rehabilitation and health care. Our mission will be carried out with a total commitment to quality, dignity, respect, and hospitality in all relationships with our customers and our community. We believe in creating value for our customers and an atmosphere that enhances personal growth for our employees. Together we will share an environment that instills trust and quality of life.

For 38 years, Clarview Rest Home Inc. has held true to that statement. “We are more than just two medical facilities, we are family” explained Stephanie Ginnery, Director of Admissions.

“Residents, family members and staff, we all share the same motto: They cared for us yesterday; We care for them today.”
