Redbank Valley Hosts C-L in KSAC Action on Explore Radio’s Kerle Tire Game of the Week

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (EYT) – The KSAC Small School Division title could very much be on the line when Clarion-Limestone takes the short trip down Route 66 to face Redbank Valley in the Kerle Tire KSAC Football Game of the Week on ExploreRadio.

Airtime for Kerle Tire Pregame Show is 6:30 p.m. with Bob “The Governor” Dunkle and Mike Kalinowski on the call. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

Fans can listen to the game live on ExploreClarion.com as well as with the ExploreRadio/ExploreClarion app (fans should click on the ExploreRadio feed on the app for the game). Fans who don’t already have the app can download it for both Apple and Android.

Clarion-Limestone is off to a strong start with a 3-0 record including 1-0 in Small School Division play. With only four teams in the division, a win over the Bulldogs would put the Lions in the driver’s seat for the divisional title.

C-L is paced by an explosive offense that includes quarterback Brenden Makray as well as Riley Hummell, Colby Himes and Chris Peace.

The Lions have a small roster having dressed only 16 the first few weeks, but head coach Dave Eggleton says he wouldn’t trade his players for anyone’s.

Redbank Valley got started a week later than the Lions and are 1-1 and 1-0 in divisional play after a 42-28 loss to Karns City last week. It was a weird game with the Bulldogs going down 21-0 before scoring 28 straight points to go ahead 28-21 and then giving up the final 21 points.

Head coach Ed Wasilowski’s squad has an explosive running back in Clint Thurston, whose blend of power and speed coupled with added quickness gained in the offseason makes him one of the premier backs in District 9.

Brock Barrett is a special talent for the Bulldogs as well, and quarterback Keaton Kahle is in his second year calling the signals.

Last year, C-L rolled past Redbank Valley in Strattanville, and Wasilowski said if his team can’t get up for the Lions this season with the division at stake they can’t get up for anyone.
