Police Detail Ashland Township Crash

ASHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A three-vehicle collision occurred last week on State Route 338, in Ashland Township, Clarion County.

According to Clarion-based State Police, 21-year-old Alison M. Williams, of Shippenville, and 32-year-old Rebecca M. Webb, of Kossuth, were involved in the crash.

Police say this crash happened around 2:38 p.m. on September 14 as a 2010 Dodge Avenger, driven by Webb, was traveling south on Route 338 toward Knox Borough. A 2008 Honda Civic, driven by Williams, was stopped facing west on Ninevah Road at a stop sign. A 2015 Chevrolet Malibu was stopped facing east on Ninevah Road at a stop sign. As the Dodge Avenger traveled toward the intersection, the Honda Civic pulled out in front of it. Webb attempted to apply the brakes but was unable to stop in time, and the Dodge hit the Honda. The Dodge then traveled westbound and hit the Chevrolet.

The Dodge and the Chevrolet both came to a final rest in the eastbound lane of Ninevah Road.

The Honda came to a final rest in the front yard of a residence along Route 338.

Webb and Williams both suffered suspected minor injuries.

Knox EMS transported both females to Clarion Hospital.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Two infant passengers in Webb’s vehicle — a three-year-old female and a two-year-old male — were using child safety seats and were not injured.

Information on the driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was not provided.

Williams was charged with a traffic violation.
