Child Seat Safety Check Slated for Today in Clarion

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police will hold a free child seat check on Wednesday, September 20, at Seidle Chevrolet in Clarion.

The child seat safety check held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Seidle’s located at 1141 East Main Street is part of National Child Passenger Safety Week.

Parents and anyone who transports children are encouraged to attend to make sure the seats are installed properly.

Car crashes are a leading cause of death for children one to 13 years old. Many deaths and injuries can be prevented by proper use of car seats, boosters, and seat belts.

Getting safety information and car seat instructions to parents and caregivers is crucial to saving young lives.
